Just awful! The appointment system is ridiculous, you can never get an appointment and get made to feel like you shouldn't use the triage system unless your leg is hanging off! For example I called for an appointment for my very young son who has on going health issues only to be told that there were no appointments and the triage list was full and to go to Crawley hospital, after thinking about how ridiculous this was I then called back 20 minutes later spoke to the same member of staff asked for a triage appointment and she put me down for a call back! Not to mention. The fact that I have several referrals not done leaving me to chase up why I have not had my referral appointment and leaving me in pain for longer and now to top it off a recent urgent scan done 3 weeks ago which I've chased up the results and a doctor still has not reviewed it !!

Firstly, the appointment system is a shambles and needs radical reform. The call back/triage service is very poor, and involves you waiting by the phone sometimes all day, and on several occasions not being called back at all! A two hour window for a call back would be a more sensible idea don't you think? Secondly, as mentioned on previous comments, several GPs possess a very dismissive attitude towards your health problems and are too eager to issue you with pills, which may not even be suitable for you, before ushering you out the door. You leave feeling dejected and often more confused than you did before the appointment. The nursing and healthcare team, however, are very kind and professional and I can't speak more highly of them. They treat you like a person and show genuine interest in you and your health. Perhaps some of the doctors at the surgery could learn some people skills from them.

Thank you for your comments. We are currently working with our patient group to carry out a review of our appointments and telephone triage systems, and your feedback will be included in that process. As a practice we are active members of the Crawley Medicines Management group, and our doctors prescribe in line with national guidance and with the local framework. If you have any concerns or queries about medication that you have been prescribed you can discuss them with one of our clinicians, or with a pharmacist. If you would like to discuss these issues in more detail then please contact the Practice Manager so that we can investigate in more detail. I am pleased to see your positive comments about the nursing and healthcare team, and will pass them on to the staff involved.

I always get the feeling that the Doctors just want to get rid of me and move on to the next patient. I know they are under pressure but I am a busy lady as well and don't make appointments with the Doctor unless I need some support with my health. I would like to see the Medical Practice as more of a partner in health and help me come up with workable solutions to my health problems rather than just prescribe more tablets each time. I want to take a pro-active attitude to my health and want to discuss how to do this with the Doctors rather than feel like I have been given medication just to shut me up for a while. I think the practice and many more all over the country do not have the funds available to create the service they and the patients would really like.

Please be reassured that all our clinicians are here to help our patients manage their conditions appropriately and provide appropriate medication. Our nurses also run a number of chronic disease clinics that help patients to manage their conditions pro-actively.

The only negative thing about this surgery is the appointment booking system, which I imagine is the same at a lot of surgeries. I have various ailments, including Type 1 Diabetes, Stage 4 Chronic Kidney Disease and arthritis. I have always been treated well and have always felt listened to whilst discussing my problems. Joan is an absolute gem! They did amazingly well when the surgery in Langley Green had to close due to storm damage and I did not feel my care suffered at all during the time they were operating from the town centre.

I arranged an appointment easily, on-line. The checking-in system works very efficiently and waiting is kept to a minimum. I was treated very sympathetically by Dr. Saad and the examination, which was of a personal nature, was carried out in a way which was reassuring and dignified.
